Chris Hobbs
In 1987, Chris graduated from the University of Natal with bachelor’s degrees in Commerce and Chemistry. After working for a major chemical manufacturer and distributor, he moved into corporate and merchant banking, excelling in various managerial roles before joining Microgaming as an account manager in 2005. Chris went on to run the corporate affairs department for Microgaming, ensuring compliance with applicable jurisdictional laws, establishing probity policies and representing the company’s interests on the boards of various industry bodies. In order to focus on the corporate challenges that face the eGaming sector, in 2019 Chris went on to form CastleTree with Roger Raatgever.
Carolyn Barrett
Born and raised in Kent, Carolyn graduated with a BA degree in the arts from Leeds. Having worked in the arts and education in Yorkshire for the start of her career she moved to the Isle of Man in 2008 where she joined Microgaming as a Receptionist. Carolyn went on to support the Directors of the company and lead the administration team. She developed several staff lead initiatives and internal process applications resulting in her putting in place a global Company travel strategy. In 2019 Carolyn formed CastleTree with Roger and Chris. Having worked with Roger and Chris for over 12 years Carolyn manages the day to day running of the business in order to support them in focusing on the new opportunities within the eGaming sector that CastleTree is involved in. Carolyn is a keen motorcyclist and enjoys spending her spare time with her family and friends and decorating cakes!
